Nobody left on base...
Well, we had a good run on Livejournal! Big ups to them for letting me get this off the ground. I'm hoping we can have a good run now at COLLEGEMISSION.NET. I wanna thank ya'll for the support. It's hard to think of these everyday and I might repeat alot of the old ones from here on the new site just to get this going. I hope all of you will follow me and continue to comment on the new site. I get a little scared no one's reading when I go a bunch of days without comments. Today's Mission... ASK SOMEONE TO WATCH YOUR STUFF THEN HAVE SOMEONE TAKE YOUR STUFF Spring break's over. I don't know how this livejournal got this layout, but hell we're moving Wednesday to Collegemission.net! Now to the Mission. In the middle of class say to the person next to you. Hey I'm gonna pee watch my stuff. Then have a friend in class sit near you and when you leave have him/her reach over and take something. Today's Mission PROMOTE YOUR HORRIBLE BOY/GIRL BAND'S WEEKEND CONCERT Get 3-4 friends. Make up flyers. Pass them around and say you guys are having a concert. Today's Mission CREATE A MINI GOLF COURSE You don't so much have to do this in a classroom. If you have a big student center of something feel free to do it there. Just construct at least a 5 hole mini golf course. If you don't have putters/balls find something to use. Or run somewhere's and buy a little toy set. Come on Down!
Today's Mission ASSIGN SEATS IN THE FRONT ROW PRICE IS RIGHT STYLE Now if you aren't the type to be the center of attention you can get your professor's permission, but seriously it loses alot of fun. Get to class early. Find people to sit in the front row. But tell them to hang at the back of the classroom and/or outside the door. Make sure the front row stays empty. Right as class is about to start ask or somehow draw attention that the front row is empty. Then stand up and start! "The first person in the front row is...Larry Stevenson!" Call each person down. Spring Break?
Today's Mission MORE ATTENDANCE SHEET FUN Normally we do underwear, or favorite beer. Today one that could go in several directions. Just ask, size. Name Size Cup size? Condom size? Shirt Size? Waist size? Show Size? You really could start with whatever you wanted, but just put size. You might get a bonus where someone asks, "Excuse me on the attendance sheet what do you mean by size?" Little bit of twine
Today's Mission TIE ALL THE DESKS TOGETHER IN A CLASSROOM I think it would be funnier if you did it in your class but I just did it to a random classroom. If you have a a classroom that's old school with like desks and chairs, just push them altogether then tie then up so they can't move. It's rather easy just make a grind with some rope. You can also you tape if you can't get/find rope. Now if you do it in a random classroom make sure you stay to watch the reaction. Hot sauce and salt packets is not a meal
Today's Mission (Based on a story from my buddy at Hartford) BRING FOOD TO CLASS AND MAKE A TERRIBLE MESS WITH SOME CONDIMENT His story was this. He brought a sandwich to class and he went to open a ketchup packet and he exploded it all over the girl in front on him. Except SHE didnt notice it! So he tried to clean it off and spilled his coffee. P.S. My friend is a klutz so this is not out of the ordinary. So try to recreate a situation like this. Today's Mission MAKE A FOLDER FORT AROUND YOUR PAPER Way back in the day, my 3rd grade teacher made us put two folders up on the sides of our desk open up L shaped so we couldn't see each other papers during tests. Now I'm sure you'll get in some trouble if you do it during an exam but if you have the guts try it. My suggestion is to go in right down some notes, then give the person next to you like the, "Who the hell do you think you are?" look. Then take out the folders and surround your paper. Then try to adjust them every so often. If someone or the professor asks what hell is going on completely convince everyone that the person next to you is being shady and you can't be the crazy one (watch their reactions it'll be great) For those not understanding what I'm saying about the folders picture it like this: (Back of Desk) |__ Paper __| I hope that makes sense. For bonus points have two ol' skool folders. Like Garfield, some sports team, some random sport, Lisa Frank, if anyone has one of the old folders that used to come in a trapper keeper you MUST you it. GOOD LUCK! For example, "As king of the classroom, I feel that the class would rather have the test on Thursday." In fact make a crown if you want. Wear a "C" on your shirt. America! Hell yeah!
Today's Mission OLYMPIC SUPERFAN Based on a true story. Paint your face all Red, White, and Blue. Dress in USA gear. (Well any country, I think most of my audience is from the USA, but I love me some Canada!) Look like olympic superfan. But also look like you JUST came from Italy. Anyway walk into class and try to get a USA (or any country) chant going. High five everyone! Get the olympic fever! And keep referring to the olympics throughout class. Orrrrrrr Act hungover as hell, or go for the real deal if you can stand the headache. Walk into class and said you played an olympic drinking game (p.s. they are out there I recommend the curling one). This is where suggestions totally help me out
Today's Mission... SUGGESTION FROM DAN L. OF SOME SCHOOL HE NEVER TOLD ME (I didn't even read this, this is straight copied from my e-mail, I have been hella busy with work this morning and I forgot to update before I left) "Big Brother" Not sure if this or something like this has already been posted as a college mission, but recently I had an inclination to take pictures of my classmates with my digital camera. For no particular reason really, other than that I had my camera with me that day. But I quickly decided against it as I thought it would be awkward because of how lots of people don't like getting their picture taken, especially by some random guy in their class that they really don't know too well. But maybe if it was a College Mission, it would take the edge of awkwardness off of it. So here's the mission: Sit in a seat near the entrance/door. Just as people enter, take their picture. Give no preample or warning. Nor give the person a reason for the closeup picture you just took of them. If they demand an answer, just make some curt gesture or mollifying shrug. After you get back home to your computer, take the pictures and resize and desaturate them to create small black-and-white thumbnail-sized mugshots of all your classmates and arrange them to fit on one or two sheets of paper. Make sure you leave enough space to write in descriptives by each photo, including: name, height, hair color, and whatever else you might like to include. Print this out, and then tape it to the inside of your binder for that class, as if for your own record-keeping purposes. Make sure it's visible by those sitting near you when you open your binder/notebook. Perhaps you can give a copy to your instructor making the assumption that your instructor would appreciate it. If it's at the beginning of the semester, perhaps, he/she will appreciate it as it helps him/her learn faces and names. GOOD LUCK! Class is boring....give yourself a College Mission. Today's Mission RECREATE MY FAVORITE SCENE FROM CADDYSHACK Look I'll be honest, I'm trying not to repeat a mission but I might have to cause thinking of stuff gets harder everyday without suggestions ans stuff. Every so often even I need a spark! haha Anyway my favorite scene I think is simple to do. All you need is something that'll play music loud, and your professor to say the words, "So what?" The "so what" part might be the hardest part, but I think you can do it. Anyway as soon as he/she says "So what?" you say, "So let's dance!" then blast the music and do a dance. You should try to do the dance from the movie but if you can't do anyother dance. I recommend the Ed Lover Dance for those who can't really bust a move that well. GOOD LUCK!! Today's Mission PAPER BASKETBALL SHOOTOUT It's friday, easy "awesome party last night so lucky if I get this out by 3 p.m." mission. So this one is a the simple trash can shootout. You and a partner make about 25 paper balls, don't waste plain paper used like old homework or take bulletins off the wall. Then at some point in class. Just start shooting. Today's Mission CARRY THE OLYMPIC TORCH INTO CLASS Obviously not a real torch. But make one outta paper or something. Say another professor has a bet that you couldn't hold it up all day. So that's what your gonna do. Sit somewhere so that holding something up is kind of annoying. Then hold that proud flame high! Try to be forced to move. Try to be real annoying and if anyone gives you any crap be like, "C'mon man that's not really the olympic spirit jerk." Orrrrrrrr You can do another break in scene where as soon as you put the torch down someone runs into class and yells, "You killed the olympics ASSHOLE!" Have fun with it! It's the Olympics! Today's Mission STAGE A DRAMATIC ROMANTIC EPISODE I'm gonna describe a quick version of this, but just use this as a template for your act. Come into class crying. Like bad. Like try to get the professor to ask what's up. Then explain to the class that, "You just broke up with your boy/girlfriend. And on Valentine's Day no less!" Then text message or somehow time it so that like 2 minutes after the confession, the significant other busts in the door. "I made a terrible mistake (your name). Please come back to me."
